Everyone loves to travel, whether you're getting acclimatized to jet setting or are a seasoned traveler, a few tricks that can make your holiday enjoyable and safer are some things which are always welcome advises.
Read on to find out what you should do to make your holiday memorable.
Planning Beforehand
? Make sure that you have confirmed reservation tickets a few days before you travel so that even if they arrive late you have a credit card guarantee.
? Send your travel itinerary to a family member or closest relative before you leave on your trip.
? Always travel light but it's best to put a few extra essentials and underwear in the carry on luggage. Shoes and a few clothes in the carry on baggage is advised and wear a pair of sneakers to the airport because you might've to do a lot of running around!
? Carry a few extra glasses, aspirins, tissue papers, light snacks like nuts or fruits or raisins incase you get stuck somewhere where there's no food.
? Double check everything before you go out to the airport. Ensure that you have your credit card, ticket, identification documents, a bit of cash, and your travel itinerary. Incase you are traveling abroad don't forget to carry your passport. Check your purse for scissors or any sharp objects that could be mistaken as weapons.
Ensure Medical Safety
? Every person should carry one's medical card in his or her wallet. This is helpful to certify if the person has any history of medical illnesses like epilepsy or diabetes or allergic to particular medication. If there's any accident or the individual is unconscious, then the medical card proves to be a lifesaver for physicians and medical shops.
? Different countries have different public health rules, so be ready to provide the required information since you need to be vaccinated to travel abroad to any country in the world.
? If you're going to the tropical countries, be sure to carry insect repellants and keep yourself from wading through natural water body. In some countries, drinking local water can sometimes be a health-risk so buying mineral water or carbonated drinks is advised. Meat like beef and pork should be avoided. Careful ingestion of fruits and vegetables is also advised.
At the Airport
? It's best to reach the airport around two hours before the flight is scheduled to take-off.
? Don't worry, just relax and enjoy your trip. You wouldn't want to feel rushed and panicky, reaching the airport at the last minute.
? In case you see your schedule is tight you can call up an agent at the airport rather than hoping they'll call you. Try to arrive at the departure gate 20 minutes prior to take-off.
You'll probably lose your seat if the flight is overbooked. If you share the same seat with somebody else, it's best not to get up and give it to them. Just keep seated and alert the flight attendants.

As surprising as it is, there are no set requirements for guided tours of Ireland as far as licensing or educational experience. All guides need to begin their business is a business name, a business brochure, and someone to pay them for their services. While this may serve as a fantastic opportunity for people looking to make a buck, it creates a tour maze for those looking for a quality tour. Here are a few tips to help you separate the quality from the non quality tours.
Look for longevity. How long have the guided tours of Ireland been in operation? Of course, years in the business alone do not guarantee quality. However, typically speaking, the more time a tour company has under their belt, the more likely you are to have a fantastic experience. A few Ireland tour companies have been continuously running trips from the States to Ireland for two generations!
Be aware of background. Where is the tour leader from and where were they born? What is his or her education? The quality of guided tours of Ireland obviously depends on the guide. Look for a guide who has lived in Ireland—and preferably studied there, too. Not only is such a guide more likely to be well versed in Irish history and culture, but he or she will also know about the little treasures that are off the beaten path.
Consider the itinerary. There are guided tours that focus mainly on a specific city or region. Others look exclusively at one aspect of Irish life, such as the culture, history, art, music, or food. While these can be wonderful—if they correspond with your interests—you may have a richer experience if you opt for one of the guided tours of Ireland that offer more variety. Some of the best guided tours of Ireland give you a taste of city life, village life, and everything in between.
Don't jump the gun and pick a tour before investigating. There are plenty of fantastic tours throughout Ireland are available - but there are also a great number of mediocre tours. You need to investigate, since there are so many tours out there and it is very difficult to tell whether or not any given tour is one of quality.
There are dozens of guided tours of Ireland from which to choose. By doing a little research into your guide—and the history of his or her company—you're likely to make a more informed choice and have a more rewarding vacation.
Interested in guided tours to Ireland? Visit Tours2Ireland for the best, most authentic tours around!

Gay and straight travelers alike flock to Brazil in droves to enjoy the pristine beaches, beautiful people, exciting nightlife, diverse culture and lavish annual celebrations, such as Carnival. As one of the most welcoming and accepting gay travel destinations in South America, Brazil is a popular choice for both gay men and lesbians looking for fun in the sun or a relaxing respite in a tropical paradise. From luxury gay vacations in exclusive beachfront resorts, to exotic excursions into remote Brazilian jungles, Brazil has much to offer to every type of traveler and is an ideal setting for international gay travel.
Rio de Janeiro is among the most popular gay travel destinations in Brazil and offers gay beaches, gay and lesbian bars and clubs, drag shows, circuit parties, bathhouses and a vast array of dining, shopping, recreation and cultural activities that attract travelers from around the world. While the establishments and gay culture in Rio de Janeiro are geared more towards gay men, lesbians will find a welcoming atmosphere at most gay establishments and events and can enjoy women's nights at several locations throughout the city, as well as a lesbian club that is open nightly. Of course, Rio is also home to Carnival and world-famous New Year's festivities, both of which provide plentiful parties, parades and festivals for gay and lesbian revelers.
While perhaps the most popular, Rio de Janeiro is not the only gay vacation destination in Brazil. A number of Brazilian cities host annual gay pride parades and festivals, including Sao Paolo and Belo Horizonte, and most urban areas enjoy a thriving gay culture. For gay vacations that are not centered around gay pride festivals or annual events, gay travel options include all-inclusive luxury eco-gay cruises and tours of historical and cultural landmarks offered by organized tour companies catering specifically to the gay and lesbian community.
Planning a gay vacation to Brazil is an exciting endeavor that is sure to lead to many memorable once in a lifetime experiences. Partaking in gay travel in Brazil is much like traveling throughout the United States when it comes to safety and necessary precautions. Just as in the U.S., some areas of Brazil will be more welcoming and accepting than others and using your best judgment in determining the safety of a given area is always a good idea. Also, for travelers interested in visiting Brazil's bathhouses, keep in mind that Brazil, like the U.S., is combating the spread of HIV and appropriate precautions should be taken to ensure that you play safely.
Planning gay vacations to Brazil is most easily accomplished when working with a travel agency that is well-versed in local attractions, vacation package options, the best times to travel throughout the year and information of particular interest to the gay travel community. Whether you are looking for a jungle adventure, a wild week in Rio or a restful vacation on the beach, enlisting the assistance of a travel agency serving the gay community will ensure that your gay vacation to Brazil is everything you hoped for.

Southampton is certainly a lively city - there's always plenty entertainment going on here for visitors to enjoy! And with many great venues around the city you'll have plenty to choose from, whatever your tastes; live music, theatre, a nightclub, or a night at the movies, it's all here in Southampton!
Live Music Venues in Southampton
From small and intimate, to large and loud, Southampton has a music venue for all of them, where smaller and relatively unknown bands play, or cover bands of world-famous groups, and then there are the world-famous groups themselves!
The Brook is a great entertaining place to catch live music in Southampton. This relatively small venue can hold up to 600 people and has a great atmosphere. It's like a pub upstairs with big comfy sofas and tables and chairs where you can watch the bands playing on the stage below the balcony. Being fairly small the sound really fills this venue, whether you're listening to rock, blues, R'n'B or any of the other genres that regularly play here. There are often tribute bands in The Brook's line-up including acts like Green-ish Day, Achtung Baby, Bon Jovi Experience, and Hi-On Maiden, but you'll also find some original big names here too, such as Hawkwind, Magnum, and more.
The Brook is a little way out of Southampton city centre but it's easy to find and easy to park at, located at 466 Portswood Road.
At over double the capacity of The Brook, Southampton Guildhall holds 1,749 people and has seen some very famous bands play on its stage - the likes of Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Manic Street Preachers, The Kaiser Chiefs and more have all played here. This isn't just a live music venue though, Southampton Guildhall features many other events throughout the year including comedies, classical concerts, children's shows, and CD and Record Fairs. Southampton Guildhall is located at the Civic Centre in the heart of Southampton.
In addition to these two there are many other places where you might catch a band playing, including The Joiners, Turner Sims Concert Hall, Soul Cellar, the Hobbit Pub, and Talking Heads.
Southampton Theatres
If the arts are more your thing, Southampton has you covered with numerous theatres, large and small. Southampton's most famous theatre is The Mayflower where there are many different performances including touring musicals, opera and ballet. You can enjoy shows like The Sound of Music, High School Musical 2, and Chicago, or come to The Mayflower for a stand-up comedy, a night at the opera, or a family or children's show.
The Mayflower is in the centre of Southampton and if you're driving here there are several multi-storey car parks nearby.
Southampton Nightclubs & Other Entertainment
For nightclubs and lively bars Southampton is the place to go! There are numerous bars and clubs in Southampton if you'd like a night on the town. Some of the clubs that stand out from the rest include Bar Risa and the attached Jongleurs. Bar Risa is a modern bar where you can enjoy all sorts of drinks, whilst Jongleurs is the largest comedy club in the UK. They're both located on the High Street so are very convenient to get to.
For a different experience visit Oceana Southampton where there are themed clubs and bars and top of the range technology to help you have an unforgettable night! In total Oceana can hold up to 4,000 clubbers!
Whatever you enjoy doing you'll find a venue in Southampton that's just right for you!
